Adam RoszkowskiViolinist Adam Roszkowski has always believed in exploring new creative ideas of musical performance and thriving for an artistic exellence either pursuing studies in his native country and abroad or collaborating with different masters. Born in 1979 in Suwalki into the family with musical traditions, Adam chose to study violin at very early age and at 6 he was already performing on stage. Trusting his own jugement and musical competence at 15, while at the Music Lyceum in Poznan, Adam run away from the School’s dormitory to another Music Lyceum of this own choice, the I. J. Paderewski Lyceum in Bialystok. From an early age on he was interested to play at different music competitions and had considerable success in Bach Competition in Zielona Gora and Violin Competitions in Suwalki and Lancut. While at the Lyceum Adam was invited by the conductor Michal Nesterowicz to be the soloist with his Orchestra- the Podlasie Philharmonic in Bialystok and performed Violin Concerto in B minor by Camille Saint-Saens. The two colleges where he perfected his violin studies: Frederic Chopin University in Warsaw (class of Prof. Tadeusz Gadzina) and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels, Belgium (class of Prof. Adam Korniszewski) had the most important impact on his musical education. The Belgian Government awarded him the fellowships two times, in 2005 and 2006. The young artist completed his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music with Grand Distinction. Additionaly he studied conducting with Prof. Ronald Zollman and chamber music with Prof. Muhhidin Demiriz and Prof. Eliane Reyes. He participated in many master classes like Zenon Brzeski Music Courses in Lancut, International Master Courses in Zamosc and „Janowiec Musical Interpretations“ in Poland, Stages Internationaux de Saint-Cast le Guildo, France and 3 Medunarodna Zimska Glazbena Skola „Clavis“ in Zagreb, Croatia. Adam Roszkowski has concertized extensively as a recitalist and soloisit with several symphony orchestras. He played many recitals at the Art Center in Wigry. The concert „Michael Rabin in memoriam“ was presented under the series „The Master and the Pupil“ with Prof. Adam Korniszewski. Recital at the Ferrari Museum owned by famous driver Jacques Swatters with pianist Marcin Dominik Gluch was an interesting event. Music Publishers Sweedish Gehrmans Musikforlag and Danish Samfundet Edition sponsored some concert tours of the Violin & Piano Duo promoting contemporary music. In 2010 during the 200 year Anniversary of the birth of Frederic Chopin Adam Roszkowski gave many recitals with pianist Zofia Lalak in the House of Eastern Poland in Brussels. The famous artists, Andrzej Olejniczak and Vadim Brodski invited Adam to collaborate in different music projects. In 2012 Jan Roszkowski cellist and Adam Roszkowski violinist-the two brothers had great success performing together in New York and received standing ovation. Adam was a solist with Podlasie Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in Bialystok, Frederic Chopin University Orchestra in Warsaw and Camerata dell‘ Arte Philharmonic. As an orchestral musician he played with the Polish Orchestra Juventus, Sinfonia Viva, Charlemagne Orchestra in Brussels. Presently Adam is the Concert Master of the II violin section of the Gorzow Philharmonic. Artist concertized in Poland, Russia, Croatia, Belgium, Holland, France, Spain, Lithuania and Italy. Being highly motivated artist apart from the classical and romantic repertory Adam has a keen interest in jazz and collaborates with funky New York musicians Sean Noonan and Alexis Marcello. Adam Roszkowski is the Vice President of Art-S.O.S. Foundation.
